Housed in an 1,800 square foot space, the library's collection now shelves well over 9,000 volumes. All students visit the library on a regular basis. Library skills are taught and are aimed toward insuring that all students are comfortable with using the resources of any library and that they know standard methods for preparing book reports and research papers before they leave The Cathedral School.
The library operates with a loyal staff of volunteer mothers assisting the certified librarian. The over 100 volunteers perform such tasks as shelving books, and lettering volumes, as well as running the circulations desk and assisting in the library skills program.
The library is also committed to the Reading Renaissance Program and provides the students with the books in this program.
