Care for children before the school day begins is offered at no additional expense to Cathedral School families. The hours are from 7:00-8:00 a.m. Staff members are on duty in the gymnasium and in the cafeteria. Students engage in play time until 7:30 and then "Wake Up and Read" until 8:00, when class time begins.

The afternoon "Extended Education Program" hours are from dismissal, 3:15 to 6:00 p.m. Students register for the program in advance on Registration Day in August and at semester intervals during the year. The fall 2007 program includes the following:
