The Cathedral School Office of Admission gathers information from three different sources to assist our Admission Committee in making an informed admission decision. We want to hear from the applicant's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) as well as educators who have previously worked with the applicant. Most importantly, we want to get to know the applicant. The steps that you will need to take once you have contacted the Office of Admission for an application packet are outlined below.

Parents or guardians should complete the following two forms. Both forms will be included in the application packet.

Please return both forms to the Office of Admission along with the following:
	Copy of the applicant's official birth certificate Copy of the applicant's immunization record to date $75 application fee
Please make your check payable to The Cathedral School. This fee is non-refundable.

Please forward the recommendation form, included in the application packet to the applicant's current classroom teacher along with the pre-addressed, stamped envelope provided. If you used the application forms available online, we will forward the forms needed for Step 2 upon receipt of the application materials requested.

If applying for grades one through five, please forward the records request form to the administrative office of the applicant's current school.

We request that all recommendations and records be mailed or faxed directly to The Cathedral School Office of Admission and not delivered by a parent or guardian.

Once an applicant's admission file* is complete, we will contact you to arrange for the applicant's campus visit during which teachers will observe the applicant in work and play situations in order to assess skill development. For prospective Pre-K and Kindergarten students, this is typically done in a group setting and lasts no more than 30-45 minutes. For applicants for first through fifth grades, the admission test involves an evaluation of the student's reading, writing and math skills and is also performed in a minimal minute timeframe.
